iGov, headquartered in Reston, Virginia, is seeking a highly skilled Controller to support the CFO in accounting, payroll, and financial planning. This in-person role directs general and cost accounting activities across the company.

Ideal candidates have extensive government contracting experience, CPA, and strong Deltek Costpoint and Excel skills. Join a team focused on mission-centric IT solutions for government customers.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a government contracting environment.
• 5+ years of Deltek Costpoint experience is required.
• Expert knowledge of accounting and financial principles, regulations, and best practices.
• Must have excellent spreadsheet skills
• Must be able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
• Demonstrate excellent prioritizing skills and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic and busy environment
• Strong attention to detail
• Assures effective communications are maintained within areas of responsibility
• Proficient with data analysis, critical thinking and problem-solving

Responsabilités

• Oversee payroll function and assist with payroll as needed.
• Collaborate with Contracts Administration and PMO on government program matters, including calls with the government and ECP reviews.
• Implement and maintain consistent accounting policies, practices, and procedures across all company operations, including sales orders and project code setups.
• Oversee the month-end close process to ensure timely financial statements.
• Enforce internal controls to maximize protection of company assets, policies, procedures and workflows.
• Design and maintain the accounting department records archiving and retention system.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities; including sales backlog reporting.
• Assist with cash flow management as assigned.
• Coordinate and respond to external auditor requests as assigned.
• Interview and hire staff as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
