Aprio Talent Solutions is recruiting a Senior Controller for a Central Florida construction contractor. You will own the full accounting function, report to the CFO, and manage job cost, WIP, draw packages, and monthly financials in a hands-on, owner-led setting.

The role emphasizes autonomy, performance-based incentives, and shaping internal controls and financial reporting processes within a privately held company.

Qualifications

• 10-15+ years of experience with leadership.
• 5+ years in construction accounting; multi-family or residential preferred.
• WIP / percentage-of-completion reporting experience.
• Construction draw process experience; can own it independently.
• ERP proficiency; Procontractor by Viewpoint or similar.
• Progressive management experience leading an accounting team.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Advanced Excel with financial modeling.

Responsibilities

• Own the full accounting function and act as day-to-day financial operator.
• Lead AP/AR, payroll, job cost accounting, and cash flow management.
• Prepare draw packages for CFO with real-time updates.
• Maintain percentage-of-completion schedules with monthly updates.
• Produce monthly financials, WIP reports, and internal controls.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis; coordinate audits.
