Job summary

LHH in Orlando, a well-established Central Florida contractor serving residential new construction, seeks a strategic VP of Finance to lead all accounting, reporting, treasury, and month-end close activities for a $100M+ business.

You will partner with operations, manage job costing, budgeting, forecasts, dashboards, and internal controls, and build a scalable finance organization to accelerate growth and profitability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• 7+ years in accounting/finance with leadership in construction or project environments.
• Hands-on Sage ERP experience for reporting and operations.
• Strong expertise in job costing, WIP, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead all accounting, financial reporting, treasury, and month-end close activities, ensuring timely and accurate financial results.
• Oversee job costing, work-in-progress reporting, backlog analysis, and profitability tracking across builders, communities, and projects.
• Develop and manage annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and financial models that support operational and growth initiatives.
• Design and enhance financial reporting, KPI dashboards, and analytics to provide actionable insights to executive leadership.
• Manage cash flow, working capital, billing processes, and internal controls to support a rapidly growing business.
• Serve as a strategic business partner to operations leadership, translating financial data into recommendations that improve performance and profitability.
• Build, mentor, and expand the accounting team while establishing scalable processes, controls, and best practices to support future growth.

• Strong expertise in job costing, work-in-progress (WIP), percentage-of-completion accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
