Job summary

ConstructoMax Corporation is seeking a Controller for a full-time, on-site position in Tampa, FL, reporting to the President. The role owns financial reporting, budgeting, internal controls, and audits, and manages construction billing, including AIA forms and WIP schedules.

The candidate must have commercial construction accounting experience, strong Excel skills, and the ability to work with cross-functional teams on budgets, contracts, and job costs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field with commercial construction industry experience.
• Three to five or more years working all aspects of audits for bonding purposes.
• Strong command of AIA G702 and G703 applications, GAAP, and high-transaction-volume analysis.
• CPA, CMA, or MBA, or active progress toward one. Florida licensure preferred.
• Advanced Excel and proficiency with construction accounting systems.
• Exceptional communication and discretion.
• Ability to work on-site, full-time in Tampa, FL

Responsibilities

• Owns financial reporting, analysis, budgeting, internal controls, audits, cash management, and compliance.
• Produces GAAP financial statements with budget variances, forecasts, and operating metrics.
• Manages construction billing: service/production invoicing, AIA G702/G703, and WIP schedules.
• Maintains COI and NOC records; coordinates lien releases with counsel.
• Works with leaders on budgets, job costs, contracts, change orders, and PO's.
• Forecasts trends against annual revenue goals; oversees external audits and bonding.
• Ensures tax compliance and filings; reviews payroll; improves financial systems.
