Ascendo Resources partners with a well-established General Contractor in Fort Lauderdale, FL to identify an experienced Controller / CFO to lead the company’s accounting and financial operations. This hands-on leadership role works closely with ownership, project management, operations, and external financial partners to improve financial visibility, internal controls, and timely reporting.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience within the construction industry.
• Experience with General Contractor or subcontractor environments and construction workflows.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and construction accounting principles.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting and financial operations for the company.
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end close and reporting.
• Prepare financial statements in accordance with GAAP and policies.
• Manage and analyze WIP, percentage-of-completion, job costing, and project profitability.
• Review project billing, AR, AP, and contracts; ensure proper reflectance in reporting.
• Maintain internal controls and coordinate with ownership and project teams.
