Job summary

NineDot Energy is hiring a Controller to lead our accounting function across corporate and project-based activities. Reporting to the SVP, Corporate Finance, you will oversee close processes, financial reporting, accounting operations, and internal controls for a growing portfolio of renewable energy assets.

The ideal candidate brings hands-on leadership, strong GAAP expertise, and a track record of building scalable accounting processes in fast-growing environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience with leadership.
• Public accounting experience required.
• Experience in renewable energy, infrastructure, power, utilities, construction, real estate, or other project-based industries.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
• Experience managing month-end close, audits, and accounting operations within a growing organization.
• Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle Netsuite) and accounting process automation initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead corporate and project accounting and ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Oversee month-end, quarterly, and annual closes; improve close efficiency.
• Maintain internal controls, policies, and documentation.
• Coordinate audits and serve as primary contact for external auditors.
• Support tax compliance and reporting with internal and external teams.
• Partner with Development, Finance, FP&A, and Tax to support project financing activities.
