Recru is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead financial accounting and reporting for a portfolio of renewable energy entities. You will oversee month-end close, consolidations, audits, and GAAP/IFRS compliance while driving process improvements and ERP enhancements.
The role requires 10+ years in accounting, leadership experience, and strong knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS. SAP and Blackline experience is preferred, with a focus on project finance and M&A support.
The Accounting Manager leads financial accounting and reporting for a portfolio of renewable energy entities, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial information for auditors, lenders, and senior leadership. The role drives transformation initiatives, supports M&A activity, and maintains a strong control environment across multi‑entity project‑finance operations.
Lead month‑end, quarter‑end, and annual close processes.
Prepare and review financial statements and reporting packages.
Manage general ledger activities, reconciliations, and consolidations across multiple entities.
Ensure compliance with GAAP/IFRS and maintain SOX controls.
Analyze financial results and provide insights to leadership.
Oversee accounting for renewable energy, solar, and storage projects, including capitalization, depreciation, and revenue recognition.
Support acquisitions, divestitures, and integration activities, coordinating external and internal audits.
Drive automation, ERP enhancements, and workflow optimization to improve reporting accuracy.
Partner with FP&A, Treasury, Tax, Legal, and Asset Management teams on cash forecasting and project performance analysis.
Lead, mentor, and develop accounting team members, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.
Identify and implement process improvement opportunities across the portfolio.
Support lender reporting and financing requirements for the renewable energy portfolio.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
CPA or Chartered Accountant (ACCA/CA) – required.
Minimum 10 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least two years in a leadership role.
Strong experience in multi‑entity accounting and consolidations.
Proven experience supporting external audits and complex reporting environments.
Deep knowledge of US GAAP & IFRS.
Hands‑on experience with ERP systems (SAP and Blackline preferred).
Experience in renewable energy, infrastructure, project finance, or distributed generation.
Background in partnership accounting, tax equity, or structured financing.
Experience supporting or leading transformation initiatives (ERP, automation, process redesign).
Exposure to M&A transactions, integrations, or carve‑outs.
Strong data handling skills (advanced Excel; experience with large datasets is a plus).
Hands‑on experience with ERP systems (SAP and Blackline preferred)
