Job summary

Flowserve is seeking a Control Valve Specialist Engineer in Utah to lead the design of severe service control valves and downstream components. You will own complex engineered-to-order valve projects, produce designs, BOMs, analyses, and support assembly, testing, and validation.

Qualifications

• :Leading teams to success in engineering projects.
• :Experience with design or application of control valves in severe service applications.
• :Proficiency in 3D modeling and design tools (e.g., ANSYS, SolidWorks, Windchill, CATIA).
• :Strong knowledge of advanced thermodynamics and fluid dynamics.
• :Experience with research, simulation and testing in fluid dynamics including instrumentation and data interpretation.
• :Mentoring and knowledge transfer skills within teams.

Responsibilities

• Design severe service control valve trim for high velocity and high noise applications.
• Develop materials for corrosive and erosive service.
• Collaborate with supply chain to source critical components.
• Lead sustaining engineering projects to improve cost and efficiency.
• Support New Product Development with designs, drawings and analyses.
• Train and mentor engineering talent across global teams.
• Create and deliver progress reports to leadership.
• Engage in design reviews for engineered products.
