Job summary

Flowserve US Inc. seeks an experienced Controls & Software Engineer Specialist to lead design, development, and implementation of advanced control systems and software for engineered industrial products and automation systems.

You will mentor engineering teams, lead design reviews, and collaborate with customers across domestic and international locations to deliver innovative solutions with high reliability and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Controls Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in controls engineering, industrial automation, software development, or systems engineering.
• Demonstrated experience leading engineering teams, technical projects, and cross-functional initiatives.
• Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences with customers and stakeholders.
• Extensive experience with PLC programming platforms such as Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Beckhoff, Schneider Electric; HMI/SCADA and industrial networks (EtherNet/IP, Profinet, Modbus, OPC-UA).
• Strong software development experience in C/C++, C#, Python, LabVIEW, MATLAB.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for controls and software initiatives across multiple projects.
• Mentor engineers and establish engineering best practices and standards.
• Lead design reviews, problem-solving activities, and continuous improvement.
• Develop control architectures for industrial equipment and automation systems.
• Design and troubleshoot PLC, HMI/SCADA, and motion control systems.
• Integrate sensors, drives, actuators, and networks into complete solutions.
• Collaborate with global teams to ensure successful project execution.
• Support product testing, commissioning, installation, and troubleshooting for customers.
