Job summary
Caterpillar Inc. in Mossville, IL is seeking a skilled Control Systems Senior Engineer to develop embedded electronic systems and software for Track-Type Tractors. You will create detailed specs from customer requirements and support design builds, testing, and software releases.
You will have hands-on experience with embedded real-time software, electronics troubleshooting, and data-link communication to ensure reliable machine operation.
Qualifications
- Embedded systems experience
- Experience with electronically controlled mechanical systems
- Electrical components/systems experience; read schematics and troubleshoot wiring
- Data link communication knowledge
- Experience developing embedded real-time software for mobile, earthmoving, industrial, or off-highway applications
Responsibilities
- Create detailed software specs from high level customer requirements
- Electronics and software support for prove design machine builds and testing
- Test plan development and software validation
- Support and communication of software releases, including required documentation
- Identification and resolution of software defects and maintenance of issue lists
