Job summary

The Metropolitan Water District of Southern California is seeking a Sr. Engineer at Headquarters in Los Angeles. You will lead full lifecycle PM for METCON industrial control projects, provide technical leadership to staff and consultants, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to deliver on-time, on-budget upgrades.

Hybrid schedule with two in-person days per week; California PE license required; salary range reflects senior engineering responsibilities in a large public utility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering and eight years of increasing responsibility, two at Engineer level.
• OR Advanced degree in engineering with six years of increasing responsibility, two at Engineer level.
• Related Field includes Civil, Mechanical, Electrical or Construction engineering.
• Relevant Experience includes industrial control systems, project management and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage full lifecycle project management for industrial control system initiatives.
• Provide technical leadership, oversight to staff and outside consultants.
• Coordinate with Operations, OT, IT, Engineering and Field Technician teams for real time support.
• Review design documents including specs, P&IDs, electrical schematics and shop drawings.
• Review and prepare labor and materials budgets for projects.
• Provide SCADA support during construction, testing, commissioning and start-up.
