Job summary

CECO Environmental, headquartered in Addison, TX, seeks a seasoned Control Systems Engineer to design, implement, and commission OEM control systems for industrial air solutions. The role involves PLC and HMI programming, panel design, documentation, and collaboration with sales and field teams.

You will work on pump/fan curves, VSD/VFD programming, one-line diagrams, and safety-focused control logic across projects. Travel to support projects as needed is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in EE or ECE.
• 10–15+ years’ experience designing and implementing control systems for OEM equipment.
• Experience designing control panels with relay and PLC logic.
• Experience writing PLC control logic (Siemens, Rockwell, GE, Modicon).
• Knowledge of plant process control and monitoring.
• Working knowledge of NEC/NFPA codes.
• Proficiency in technical writing.
• Ability to work in a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Design and layout of custom systems for approval and changes.
• Equipment selection and design of instrumentation and control packages.
• Review P&IDs, process control narratives, and instrument lists with the Project Engineer.
• Prepare I/O lists and bid documents including cost estimates and schedules.
• Support sales and field personnel with design options and potential savings.
