Job summary

CECO Environmental Corporation is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design and support industrial control equipment. You will prepare technical documentation, assist with proposals, and design systems to meet customer specifications.

Collaboration with sales and operations teams is essential as part of a cross-functional engineering group. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and 3–5 years of experience with AutoCAD and control panel design.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• 3–5 years’ experience designing industrial control equipment preferred.
• Experience designing control panels based on relay or PLC control.
• Knowledge of IEC, NEC and NFPA codes and standards.
• Proficiency in technical writing and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Research and review project requirements to ensure design feasibility.
• Designs control systems based on customer specifications.
• Assist with preparation of engineering documents and proposals.
• Communicate with project team to establish functions and deadlines.
• Create designs and drawings using CAD templates or updating existing CAD files.
• Analyze reports, drawings, and tests to plan and design projects.
• Complete design processes per Scope of Work and quality reviews.
• Review drawings for alignment with scope and standards.
• Assist sales with scope and estimates for proposals.
• Perform inspection and surveillance duties for outsourced electrical procurement.
