Job summary

CECO Environmental is seeking a Control Systems Engineer to design, build, and commission OEM control systems for industrial equipment. This hybrid role supports sales and operations from our Addison, TX headquarters, interfacing with project engineers and field technicians.

You will work on PLC/HMI programming, panel layout, and I/O specification, plus supporting cost estimates and schedules. A strong background in PLCs (Siemens, Rockwell, GE) and familiarity with NEC/NFPA codes is required.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or ECE from an accredited program.
10+ years designing and implementing control systems for OEM equipment.
Experience designing control panels with relay and PLC logic.
Experience writing PLC control logic (Siemens, Rockwell, GE, Modicon).
Knowledge of plant process control, NEC and NFPA codes.

Responsibilities

Design and layout of custom systems for approval and revisions.
Select instrumentation and design control packages.
Review P&ID’s, process control narratives, and instrument lists with the Project Engineer.
Prepare I/O lists and bid documents including cost estimates and schedules.
Interface with customers and sales to answer design and performance questions.
Troubleshoot field problems and support field service technicians.
