Job summary

NextEra Energy Resources, LLC is seeking a Systems Engineer for utility-scale BESS projects. You will develop control system requirements, craft controls logic, and assist with testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting to ensure project success.

Ideal candidates bring 7+ years in SCADA/Controls engineering within power generation, the ability to manage multiple projects, and strong communication skills. Domestic/international travel (<10%) is expected as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical area.
• 7+ years experience in SCADA/Controls engineering.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (<10%)

Responsibilities

• Work with equipment suppliers for factory integration testing of new hardware designs to validate requirements
• Develop processes for managing common and project-specific control system requirements across a large fleet of power plants
• Oversee development and implementation of all control system project requirements
• Support commissioning team during plant turnover
• Work with cross functional teams and support as plant controls SME for both internal and external customers
