Job summary

PPM Technical Services, Inc. seeks a Control Room Operator / Sr. Plant Tech Operator for the Klamath Cogeneration Plant and Klamath Generation Peakers. The role leads watch teams, ensures safe operation, and participates in training and maintenance tasks.

You will work in a dynamic environment requiring strong communication, problem solving, and supervision skills, with scheduled on-site work in Oregon and potential interactions with Avangrid energy management teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum seven years as a Control Room Operator or Plant Tech Operator in power plant operations.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to read, comprehend, and follow Environmental, Health & Safety documents and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise on-watch operations and coordinate maintenance activities.
• Operate and monitor power generation equipment safely and within permits and regulations.
• Train and mentor plant operations staff and participate in qualification activities.
• Develop solutions to complex problems and advise management as needed.
• Coordinate safety clearances, permits, and lockout/tagout procedures.
