Job summary

The Washington State Office of the Attorney General in Tumwater is seeking a Contracts Specialist 2 in the Financial Services Division. This permanent, full-time role focuses on contract monitoring, reporting, and administration, primarily for litigation-related contracts and state-wide agreements.

Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and at least two years of government contract experience; a Master’s degree or law degree may substitute for some experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field required.
• Two years of government contract negotiating/administration experience required for Contracts Specialist 2.
• Master’s degree may substitute for one year's experience; law degree may substitute for experience/education.

Responsibilities

• Serve as main contact for contracts, amendments, terminations, invoicing and closeouts.
• Negotiate contract terms and ensure compliance with regulations and policies.
• Track contracts in ECMS/Law Manager and maintain data accuracy.
• Develop and deliver agency-wide contract management training and templates.
• Advise staff on contract procedures and interpretation of OFM/DES regulations.
