Job summary

RTX is seeking a Manager, Contracts in its Advanced Technology contracts organization in Tucson, AZ. You will manage contract execution, guide senior management on contractual issues, and analyze RFPs/RFIs/BAAs while ensuring compliance and risk mitigation. This onsite role offers relocation assistance and a sign-on bonus.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in contracts or related fields, experience with FAR/DFARS, and a Top-Secret clearance. Candidates must be a U.S. citizen with active clearance.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years’ experience.
• Experience related to contracts management, program management, project management, supply chain, procurement or similar.
• Experience with US Government Contracts under the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and/or Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplemental (DFARS).
• Active, in-scope and transferable U.S. government issued Top-Secret security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Portfolio Directors, Program Managers, Chief Engineers, Business/Estimating, and Supply Chain to manage successful execution of contracts.
• Provide guidance to senior management regarding contractual and business issues, rights and obligations, and risk mitigation.
• Analyze Requests for Proposals (RFP), Requests for Information (RFI) and Broad Agency Announcements (BAA).
• Review Estimates at Completion (EAC).
• Conduct proposal reviews and coordinate customer responses.
• Negotiate contracts.
• Support program management and execution reviews.
• Develop Intellectual Property and investment strategy.
• Ensure that negotiated terms and conditions comply with company policies.
• Minimal domestic travel required.
