Job summary

Bauer Foundation Corp. seeks an experienced Contracts Specialist to join the Contracts & Risk Management team. You will review and analyze construction and procurement contracts, identifying risks and supporting mitigation strategies, interfacing with legal teams and stakeholders to inform executive decisions.

The role reports to the Vice President of Contract Risk and requires strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Law, Business Administration, or related field.
• 5–7 years experience in contract review, negotiation, and risk assessment.
• Ability to read, interpret, and analyze complex construction contracts and subcontracts.
• PMP certification or Master’s degree is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review, interpret, and provide analysis on construction contracts, equipment and material supply agreements, and subcontractor agreements.
• Identify contractual and operational risks and develop clear risk analyses and mitigation strategies.
• Support contract negotiations by identifying key commercial and legal exposures and providing risk-based recommendations.
• Act as liaison with legal teams, consultants, and counterparties to ensure contract terms are understood and risks managed.
• Prepare briefing documents, summaries, and presentations for senior management, highlighting key findings.
• Provide direct support to the Vice President of Contracts & Risk, contributing to strategic planning and departmental initiatives.
