Job summary

Bauer Foundation Corp. is seeking a Contracts Specialist to join the Contracts and Risk Management Department in Odessa, FL.

You will review and analyze construction and procurement contracts, identify risks, and support mitigation strategies while coordinating with internal/external legal teams and project stakeholders. The role requires 5–7 years of contract experience, strong communication skills, and proficiency with MS Office and Power BI for reporting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Law, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • A Master’s degree, PMP certification, or equivalent experience in contract management or risk analysis is a plus.
  • Minimum 5–7 years of experience in contract review, negotiation, and risk assessment, preferably in construction or infrastructure projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to read, interpret, and analyze complex construction contracts, supply agreements, and subcontracts.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with legal advisors, external counsel, and counterparties.

  • Prepare briefing documents, summaries, and presentations for senior management, highlighting key contractual and risk-related findings.
  • Provide direct support to the Vice President of Contracts & Risk, contributing to strategic planning, decision-making, and departmental initiatives.

Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced and highly analytical Contracts Specialist to join our Contracts and Risk Management Department. This professional will play a key role in reviewing and analyzing construction and procurement contracts, identifying risks, and supporting the development of effective mitigation strategies. The ideal candidate will be capable of interfacing with internal and external legal teams, consultants, and project stakeholders, while providing strategic insight to support executive decision-making.

  • Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in contract review, negotiation, and risk assessment, preferably in construction or infrastructure projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to read, interpret, and analyze complex construction contracts, supply agreements, and subcontracts.
  • Proven experience in risk identification, assessment, and mitigation planning, including the ability to develop structured risk analyses and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with legal advisors, external counsel, and counterparties.
  • Capable of articulating findings and recommendations in a clear, concise, and professional manner, both in writing and in meetings with executives and stakeholders.
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications (e.g., Power BI, Teams, SharePoint) for reporting and collaboration.
  • Highly organized, self-directed, and comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Ability to visit active construction sites and navigate uneven terrain.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
