Lee County Port Authority in Fort Myers, FL is hiring a Manager, Contracts to lead the contracts program within the Development Division. The role requires overseeing capital project contracts, ensuring compliance with FDOT/FAA grants, and improving contract procedures.

You will mentor staff and coordinate with Finance and Procurement to maintain tight controls. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of contract management experience, a relevant bachelor’s degree, advanced Excel skills, and must pass

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years managing or administering contracts for large capital programs.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets (including complex formulas).
• Ability to pass a criminal background screening and drug test.
• SIDA badge and TSA Security Threat Assessment required.

Responsibilities

• Direct the full contract lifecycle, including preparation, review, amendments, and closeout.
• Lead contracts staff and foster a collaborative, accurate team environment.
• Work with Finance to resolve financial queries and monitor payments.
• Ensure compliance with FDOT, FAA, and other grant requirements.
• Oversee the contract management platform (e.g., Procore) and improve templates.
• Maintain comprehensive contract summaries for all projects.
• Collaborate with Procurement on contract agreements and solicitations.
