Job summary

Lee County is seeking a detail-oriented Project Manager in Facilities Construction & Management to lead Major Maintenance and Capital Improvement Program projects. You will collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and internal departments to drive projects from concept through closeout.

The role requires strong organizational, communication, and technical skills with experience overseeing complex construction or renovation programs.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, or Structural Engineering; Architecture; Interior Design; or a closely related field.
Two years of relevant professional experience in engineering, architecture, or construction project management.
Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Ability to pass NCIC background check and fingerprint-based security clearance.

Responsibilities

Manage full lifecycle of MM and CIP projects from concept through construction closeout.
Coordinate scope, schedule, and budget to ensure timely, cost-effective delivery.
Oversee project documentation: plans, specs, cost estimates, contracts.
Monitor construction for quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.
