Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems in San Diego, CA is seeking a Manager 2 - Contract Administration to lead a team of eight contracts professionals within the NIC Division.

You will guide proposal preparation, negotiate contracts, and manage administration in a FAR/DFARS environment, delivering strong financial performance, risk mitigation and outstanding customer satisfaction on onsite projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of industry experience in contract administration/management or Master’s with 6 years; 12 years in lieu of degree.
• Knowledge of Contracts Administration in a FAR/DFARS environment.
• Experience with DoD contracting and USG or major defense contractor customers.
• Experience negotiating contracts of varying sizes with USG/defense customers.
• Experience presenting to all levels of management.
• Advanced proposal strategy and contract formation experience.
• US Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Lead within the NIC Division portfolio delivering financial performance, risk mitigation, change management, and customer satisfaction.
• Supervise a staff of eight contracts professionals.
• Oversee proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration and customer contact activities.
• Provide direction using management guidelines and maintain engagement with the team.
