Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in industrial safety or engineering is required.
• Seven (7) years of safety experience in industrial safety.
• Thorough working knowledge of OSHA and MSHA standards in construction and general industry.

Responsibilities

• Lead contractor qualification and VERO oversight for AEP Texas contractor safety management program.
• Conduct risk-based contractor safety audits and field effectiveness reviews.
• Manage contractor incidents investigations, corrective action closure, and governance.
• Develop and maintain contractor scorecards and performance reviews.
• Engage operations, procurement, legal, and safety leadership to ensure safety program execution.
