Job summary

MOTOR Information Systems in Troy, MI is seeking a Contracts Manager to draft, review and negotiate client and vendor agreements, ensure policy and regulatory compliance, and manage contract lifecycles from renewal to termination.

You will partner with legal, finance, and sales, maintain contract data in Salesforce and Conga, and lead risk assessments while driving process improvements across the contracting function.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in contracts, legal support, operations, or related areas.
• Strong understanding of legal terminology and contract management best practices.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work autonomously, prioritize deadlines, and exercise sound judgment.
• Experience assessing risk in commercial agreements and communicating recommendations clearly.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of contracts including client and vendor agreements.
• Ensure compliance with policies and industry regulations in all contractual matters.
• Manage contract lifecycles from renewals to amendments and terminations.
• Serve as the primary contact for contract inquiries and issues.
• Collaborate with legal, finance, and sales to align on business objectives.
• Own routine contract workflow end to end and partner with in-house counsel on complex terms.
• Maintain an organized repository and accurate data in Salesforce and Conga.
• Prepare reports and analyses on contract statuses and key metrics.
• Assess immediate transactional risk and long-tail exposure and advise stakeholders.
• Assist with audits, reporting, and special projects as needed.
