Job description

The Senior Contract Specialist is responsible for providing contract and compliance support to the Motion Control Systems division of Regal Rexnord Corporation's Automation and Motion Control segment.

The Motion Control Systems division has global locations in the United States, Europe, and APAC, manufacturing and selling precision motors and drives under the Kollmorgen brand. Kollmorgen products serve industries including Aerospace & Defense, Factory Automation, Robotics, and Medical.

This role, in partnership with the Segment General Counsel, will manage and oversee the contract lifecycle for Motion Control Systems, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and legal requirements. It involves negotiating, drafting, reviewing, and administering contracts to support organizational objectives. The Senior Contract Specialist will collaborate with various departments to ensure efficient contract execution.

While supporting the Motion Control Systems business, this role will also connect with Regal Rexnord's legal and compliance teams to promote partnership and alignment with company-wide contract policies and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Contract Management: Oversee the entire contract lifecycle, from initiation to renewal.
2. Negotiation: Lead contract negotiations with vendors, suppliers, and third parties, supported by the Segment General Counsel, to secure favorable terms.
3. Drafting and Reviewing: Draft, review, and revise contracts to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards.
4. Compliance: Ensure contracts comply with laws, regulations, and policies, focusing on government contracts (FAR/DFARS). Monitor and communicate regulatory developments.
5. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate contractual risks.
6. Collaboration: Work with internal stakeholders, including legal, finance, and procurement teams, and represent Motion Control Systems in cross-division negotiations. Partner with corporate legal to implement legal and compliance initiatives.
7. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of contracts and documentation.
8. Training and Mentorship: Educate stakeholders on contract and compliance topics.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's in Business, Law, or related; Master’s or certifications (CPCM, CFCM) preferred.
• Experience: At least 5 years in contract management, preferably in Aerospace & Defense.
• Skills: Negotiation, communication, attention to detail, organizational skills, business acumen, proficiency in contract management software, ability to work independently and in teams, analytical skills, experience with contract repositories, and process improvement mindset.

Working Conditions:

• Location: Radford, VA or Milwaukee, WI
• Environment: Office with occasional travel
• Hours: Standard hours with flexibility for deadlines

Compensation: $65K-$100K, dependent on various factors including location, experience, and education. Candidates must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
