Responsibilities
  • Accountable for the timely preparation and execution of Clinical Study Agreements, Confidentiality Disclosure Agreements, Master Clinical Study Agreements, Investigator Initiated Study Agreements, Facility Use Agreements, and other site-related agreements, including associated budgets and service provider agreements linked to CSAs.
  • Partner with R&D business teams, Clinical Development Operations, Finance, Ethics & Compliance, Legal, and external parties to draft, negotiate, and execute contracts, ensuring delivery within agreed timelines, compliance, and fair market value.
  • Serve as a contract management expert for the Americas region, mentoring colleagues and driving process improvements.
  • Manage and track contracts and associated documentation per AbbVie requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding priorities and potential contract issues, escalating as needed.
  • Lead or participate in process improvement initiatives within the contract management function.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship within the team, manage workload, and ensure effective work processes with country operations managers.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, preferably in healthcare, business, legal, or scientific fields.
  • At least 5 years of clinical research and/or contract/budget experience, with understanding of compliance and regulatory matters.
  • Proven negotiation, interpersonal, and business skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to work independently, and manage competing priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and the local language, with conflict resolution and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proactive team player capable of maintaining high performance during change and ambiguity.
  • Experience in line or matrix management and financial analysis is advantageous.
