Job summary

SEEBURGER AG in Bretten, Germany, seeks an experienced Contract Manager to draft, review, and negotiate complex global contracts and proposals. You will guide strategic tenders, RFI/RFP processes, and large customer projects from bidding through execution.

The role requires a Law degree with 8+ years in international contract management, ideal in software/IT services. Fluent in German and English, you will influence contract standards and risk management across our global Sales Excellence team.

Qualifications

• Degree in Law (fully qualified lawyer), Business Law (LL.M.), or comparable qualification.
• Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in international contract management, preferably within software, IT services, SaaS, or cloud.
• Proven experience negotiating complex customer, licensing, SaaS, cloud, and service agreements.
• Strong understanding of international contract structures and commercial risk management.
• Experience with contracts governed by Anglo-American/Common Law is an advantage.
• Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Structured, pragmatic, and solution-oriented working style with a strong focus on quality.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate customer, cloud, subscription, service, and project agreements.
• Analyze and assess contractual risks and develop pragmatic solutions with Sales and Management.
• Support Account Managers during contract negotiations with customers, procurement, and legal departments.
• Provide contractual guidance for strategic tenders, RFIs, and RFPs.
• Develop and harmonize global contract standards, templates, and best practices.
• Build and maintain a centralized contract and document repository.
• Advise Sales, Presales, Delivery, and Product Management on contract-related matters.
• Support the introduction of new products, services, and business models through contractual frameworks.
