Job summary

Wolters Kluwer in Minnesota seeks a Senior Content Editor for the Medical Education and Medical Practice portfolios to lead high-volume content projects, refine workflows, and drive digital content innovations.

You will partner with acquisitions, editorial operations, product management, marketing, and SMEs to deliver content on time, on spec, and within budget while maintaining editorial standards across print and digital formats.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in academic and/or healthcare publishing.
• Travel: <10% for meetings and conferences.

Responsibilities

• Manage the product development cycle for textbooks, courseware, videos, and digital assets.
• Collaborate with SMEs, authors, vendors, and internal staff to develop clear, engaging content across platforms.
• Analyze proposals and sample content to determine market viability and evaluator capability of SMEs/authors.
• Provide direction on editing, pedagogy, and use of digital resources as needed.
• Create and monitor project budgets and schedules; prepare reports for management.
• Resolve quality or scope issues; coordinate with teams and vendors to address problems.
• Enrich products with digital assets and ensure optimal delivery and discovery.
• Enforce editorial standards and legal/ethical guidelines.
• Evaluate content performance metrics and suggest improvements.
• Engage in quality assurance for digital content.
