Job summary

Allegacy Financial is seeking a Loan Underwriter/Advisor to assist members with loan applications and account openings, providing guidance on AFCU products and ensuring proper documentation. You will review third-party requirements, perform underwriting for equity and real estate loans, and support training initiatives.

You will work within a team to maintain underwriting consistency, serve as a knowledge source for training, and help grow membership while upholding AFCU policies and regulatory

Qualifications

• Sales and lending knowledge to promote AFCU products and services.
• Ability to analyze credit requests and document thorough recommendations.
• Maintain accuracy and confidentiality in handling complex financial transactions.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional member service throughout loan or account processes.
• Process loan applications and verify documentation for underwriting.
• Conduct underwriting for real estate and equity loans within guidelines.
• Cross-sell AFCU products based on member needs during interviews.
• Train and support new staff and colleagues as needed.
• Collaborate with centers and mortgage department to ensure consistent lending decisions.
• Assist departments to grow membership and community awareness.
