Job summary

Aon is seeking a Senior Consultant, Transaction Strategy to lead high-impact human capital advisory engagements, including M&A, divestitures, and large-scale transformations. You will guide consultants, mentor analysts, and work with Directors and Partners to grow client relationships.

You will translate deal objectives into integrated HR workplans, drive execution, and supervise complex data analyses, ensuring timely, within-scope deliverables and high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in human capital, rewards, or HR consulting or equivalent corporate experience.
• Experience on HR-focused M&A transactions, business transformations, or large-scale organizational change.
• Strong leadership and ability to manage multiple stakeholders under time pressure.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with ability to present to executives.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of medium to large client engagements or major workstreams on complex programs.
• Act as primary day-to-day contact for client project leads and ensure scope alignment.
• Oversee HR due diligence activities, including design and implementation of due diligence and integration plans.
• Direct and review work of consultants/analysts performing data room review, interviews, and analytics.
• Synthesize findings into executive-ready due diligence reports and recommendations.
• Develop integrated project plans with milestones, dependencies, and resourcing.
• Provide qualitative and quantitative advice on HR programs and cost/retention modeling.
• Facilitate client meetings and workshops with HR and business leaders.
• Partner with senior leaders to identify needs, shape opportunities, and contribute to multi-year strategies.
