Job summary

Black & Veatch Construction seeks a Senior Tools & Implementation Specialist to lead the development and optimization of craft and staff training programs. You will drive AWP, WFP, and digital construction adoption, mentor other training specialists, and coordinate training deployment across projects.

You will oversee curriculum development, materials, and assessments, while partnering with Safety, HR, Quality, and Field Operations to align with project goals and field readiness.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in leadership, training, instructional, or construction ops roles.
• Open shop and/or union experience required.
• Direct Hire experience for Direct Hire assignments.
• Extensive hands on construction, project mgmt, or industrial field ops.
• Strong knowledge of AWP/WFP, work packaging, and field execution processes.
• Proficiency with InEight Plan & Progress, Procore, and related tools.
• Excellent presentation, facilitation, and communication skills across diverse audiences.
• Strong organizational and project coordination abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Word, Excel.
• Experience using LMS for tracking, reporting, and delivery of training.
• Ability to create, edit, and deliver digital training materials.
• Familiarity with virtual training platforms (Teams, Zoom, WebEx).

Responsibilities

• Lead development, maintenance, and implementation of training programs for craft and staff.
• Create advanced curricula for Coordinators, Superintendents, Front Line Supervisors using Work Packaging workflows.
• Deliver training sessions in classroom, workshop, field mentoring, and virtual environments.
• Coach teams on AWP and WFP best practices to improve planning efficiency.
• Oversee scheduling, tracking, and documentation of trainings and certifications.
• Collaborate with Safety, HR, Quality, Construction Management, and Field Operations.
