Job summary

ARCO/Murray National Construction is seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead project construction from day one, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time delivery. The role focuses on coordinating field operations, managing staff, and maintaining strong communication with owners and subcontractors across projects.

The candidate should bring 5+ years as a superintendent, a proven track record in delivering complex builds, and a commitment to safety and cost control.

Qualifications

• 5-25+ years of construction experience; at least 5 years as a superintendent.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and project scheduling programs.
• Must possess and maintain a current, valid driver?s license.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job.

Responsibilities

• Attend the post-award review meeting to receive project information and details for preplanning before construction.
• Prepare a schedule of construction activities and organization structure, including manpower and equipment needs.
• Direct and control the total construction project to meet specifications and schedule while optimizing profit.
• Coordinate subcontractors to integrate their work with project schedules and progress.
• Inform supervisors and subcontractors promptly of any construction schedule changes.
• Assist in preparation of job progress and cost reports reflecting actual costs.
• Review and approve requisitions, field purchase orders, invoices, and other significant documents.
• Cooperate with the owner and representatives, keeping them informed of progress.
• Cooperate with architects or owner representatives on a long-term interest of the company.
• Hold job site meetings with PM and regional manager.
• Report regularly to the PM to keep them informed on progress, plans, and problems.
• Maintain a daily diary to record significant project facts, events, and approvals.
• Direct adherence to the company?s safety program in all phases.
• Make decisions under tight deadlines.
• Organize people, tools, and equipment to manage multiple activities.
• Demonstrate leadership and address conflicts effectively.
• Meet/exceed customer expectations and maintain integrity.
