Job summary

W. L. Butler is seeking an experienced Superintendent for upcoming Peninsula projects beginning in Q1 2027.

You will lead day-to-day field operations, develop schedules, coordinate subcontractors, and maintain safety and quality on site. The role emphasizes strong client interaction, problem solving, and collaboration with PMs and design teams. The ideal candidate has 8+ years of supervisory experience in commercial construction, with proficiency in Procore and scheduling software.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience as a Superintendent or similar field leadership role in commercial construction.
• Experience reading and interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and schedules.
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with Procore and construction scheduling software.
• OSHA 30 certification preferred; CPR and First Aid preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day field operations from startup through closeout.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, including weekly look-aheads and coordination meetings.
• Coordinate subcontractors, inspections, material deliveries, and jobsite logistics.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and compliant jobsite culture.
• Ensure quality standards are met and work is completed per plans and specs.
• Proactively identify and resolve field issues to protect schedule and budget.
• Partner with Project Managers to support schedule, budget, and client objectives.
• Maintain project documentation using Procore and other PM tools.
• Build strong relationships with clients, design teams, trade partners, and field personnel.
