Job summary

Jobot is seeking a permanent Superintendent to oversee all stages of construction for projects across the Western U.S. You will lead on-site activities, manage schedules, budgets, and subcontractors, and ensure compliance with building codes to deliver high-quality results on time and within budget.

The role requires strong leadership, problem-solving, and excellent communication with architects, engineers, and teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in a superintendent role in construction.
• Budgeting, scheduling, contract management, blueprint reading, and subcontractor management experience.
• In-depth knowledge of building codes and regulations.
• Proven leadership and team-motivation abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred.
• Certifications in construction safety or project management are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all on-site construction activities, ensuring compliance with design, project specifications, regulations, timelines, and safety codes.
• Develop and manage project schedules, ensuring that all deadlines are met.
• Oversee budgeting, contract management, and procurement processes, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
• Collaborate with architects and engineers to interpret and execute blueprint designs.
• Manage relationships with subcontractors, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to project timelines.
• Ensure all construction activities align with current building codes and regulations.
• Develop and implement construction plans, managing any changes or adjustments as needed.
• Utilize strong problem-solving skills to address any issues or challenges that arise during the construction process.
• Lead and inspire a high-performing team, fostering a positive work environment that encourages collaboration and innovation.
