Job summary

Gilbane Building Co. in the United States is seeking Senior General Superintendents for various locations nationwide, with relocation and travel.

You will lead project teams on complex commercial/industrial builds and mentor site staff, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time delivery. Ideal candidates bring 15+ years of large-scale construction leadership, OSHA 30, STS-C, and a degree in Engineering or Construction Management; you will shape field strategy, coordinate trades, and drive

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management is required or equivalent.
• 15+ years on large commercial/industrial projects or multiple lead superintendent roles.
• OSHA 30-hour certification is required.
• STS-C Certification preferred.
• First Aid/CPR/AED/Stop the Bleed training beneficial.
• Equivalents considered.

Responsibilities

• Directs and coordinates trade contractors to meet project schedule and quality standards.
• Supervises and develops the project team.
• Manages the project budget for general conditions and Next 150/Site Services.
• Leads field changes and communicates work plans.
• Leads site walks with stakeholders to show progress.
• Ensures safety plans and regulatory compliance throughout the project.
