Job summary

Butler-Cohen Design + Build is seeking a seasoned Construction Superintendent to lead on-site activities, supervise trades, and coordinate subcontractors. You will enforce safety practices, maintain cost records, and ensure adherence to contract documents while driving progress to meet the project schedule.

The role requires leadership, strong communication with stakeholders, and the ability to travel and relocate as project locations demand.

Qualifications

• 5-10+ years of construction management experience or a BA/BS in a construction-related field plus 10+ years experience.
• Must have run at least one job valued at $5-10 million ($10-20 million preferred).
• Ground-up or heavy renovation project experience preferred, in-operational facilities or not.
• Experience in QA/QC methods, inspection, and enforcement.

Responsibilities

• Supervise on-site construction work and coordinate subcontractors.
• Maintain cost records for work performed and materials supplied; control costs.
• Enforce safety culture and OSHA guidelines on the project site.
• Inspect field work for conformity to plans and specifications.
• Manage site logistics to support the project schedule and progress.
• Communicate clearly with stakeholders to achieve positive results.
