Job summary

STO Building Group's Structure Tone Boston office is seeking a seasoned Superintendent to lead field operations on our projects. You will coordinate subcontractors, ensure quality and safety, manage daily site activities and report progress to the Project Manager and client representatives.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of field experience, strong leadership and communication skills, and a proven track record delivering large ground-up construction projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• 5+ years minimum of field experience.
• Experience should include supervisory responsibility as foreman, field engineer or assistant superintendent.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the project schedule and maintains status reports.
• Oversees field coordination, quality control and day-to-day supervision of subcontractors.
• Reviews progress with the Project Manager and client representatives regularly.
• Ensures safety standards are implemented and adhered to on site.
• Directs subcontractor activities within ground-up construction projects.
• Analyzes manpower, materials and equipment and interfaces with stakeholders.
• Enforces field policies, procedures and work rules.
• Prepares reports and forecasts and informs supervisors of progress.
• Manages QA/QC and understands client engineering specs.
