Job summary

STO Building Group is seeking a Senior Superintendent to lead field coordination, ensure quality, and supervise subcontracted work for commercial construction projects in the Kansas City area. The role focuses on safety, schedule adherence, cost control, and coordination with the Project Manager and clients on large projects with multiple superintendents.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of field experience in commercial projects.
• Experience with supervisory roles (General Foreman/Field Engineer/Assistant Superintendent).
• Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the project schedule and maintains reports on status.
• Oversees timely and cost-effective field coordination and quality control for subcontracted work.
• Reviews status with the Project Manager and client representatives on a regular basis; large projects may have multiple Superintendents.
• Ensures safety standards and requirements are implemented and adhered to by craftsmen and others when operating tools and equipment.
• Directs subcontractor activities within pharma projects.
• Analyzes manpower, material, and equipment needs and interfaces with others as designated by the supervising superintendent.
• Implements and enforces policies, procedures, and related work rules as established by field construction management.
• Prepares reports and forecasts and keeps supervisors informed on progress of activities.
• Ensures equipment and tools in the operational area are safe and used properly.
