Job summary

Cityscape Recruitment USA seeks an experienced Superintendent for a well-established General Contractor in the Washington, DC area. You will own field operations, safety, scheduling, productivity, logistics, and quality control from preconstruction through project completion.

You will oversee subcontractors and field teams to deliver projects safely, on time, and to the highest standards. The ideal candidate has 10+ years in construction, prior GC Superintendent experience, strong commercial and

Qualifications

• 10+ years of construction industry experience.
• Experience as a Superintendent with a General Contractor.
• Strong commercial construction experience; multifamily experience welcomed.
• Ability to manage subcontractors, field teams, schedules, and site operations.
• OSHA 30 certification required.
• First Aid/CPR/AED certification required.
• Strong understanding of scheduling, safety, quality control, and site logistics.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Lead field operations and coordinate with the Project Manager.
• Oversee preconstruction, start-up, baselines, and site logistics.
• Manage subcontractor scopes and ensure on-time delivery.
• Lead foreman meetings and resolve field issues.
• Enforce safety policies and OSHA standards.
• Prepare daily reports with progress photos and labor totals.
• Review shop drawings and coordinate work in place.
• Coordinate material tracking and testing/inspections.
