Job summary

Lang Constructors, Inc. is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead field operations on commercial and federal projects across the Midwest and Southeast.

You will supervise in-house crews and subcontractors, ensure safety, and drive schedule adherence from mobilization through closeout. You will read and interpret plans, manage look-ahead schedules, and coordinate inspections and deliveries while maintaining documentation and field reports.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of commercial construction experience including leadership of large projects.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specs and contract documents.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with cross-team coordination.
• Willingness to travel for project assignments and valid driver's license.
• OSHA 30 certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day field operations on assigned construction projects.
• Plan and coordinate daily work of in-house field personnel.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and crews to maintain schedule.
• Develop short-term look-ahead schedules and monitor progress.
• Review drawings and specifications to ensure work meets requirements.
• Coordinate inspections, testing, deliveries, and site logistics.
• Monitor workmanship, enforce safety, and address deficiencies.
• Lead subcontractor coordination and site meetings.
• Maintain daily reports, progress docs, and closeout records.
• Communicate field conditions and change orders to Project Manager.
• Anticipate and resolve field issues to protect schedule and cost.
