Job summary

Our client, a federal construction-focused contractor, seeks an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee on-site operations, direct field staff and subcontractors, and ensure projects meet safety, schedule, and budget targets. The role may also involve CQCM and SSHO responsibilities as needed.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in federal projects, excellent communication skills, and the ability to coordinate plans for labor, equipment, materials, quality control, and safety

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of commercial construction methods and all major trades.
• Strong verbal and written communication with clients, subcontractors, and government reps.
• Proven ability to supervise multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience with CQCM and SSHO requirements.
• Proficient in construction documentation and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise all on-site construction activities.
• Lead field personnel and subcontractors to deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget.
• Develop and maintain project schedules; resolve field challenges.
• Procure materials and coordinate inspections throughout the project lifecycle.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and closeout activities.
• Promote safety culture and enforce OSHA compliance.
• Coordinate daily activities with subcontractors and monitor progress.
• Prepare reports, daily logs, and required documentation.
