Job summary

Gilbane Building in Los Angeles, CA seeks a Senior General Superintendent to oversee all field operations on large projects. This on-site role is central to the project team, driving safety, quality and schedule adherence from the ground up.

You will lead trade contractors, supervise the project team, manage budgets for general conditions and site services, and develop plans for field changes while fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture across the workforce.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
• 15+ years on large education/healthcare/public/commercial projects in a lead superintendent role.
• OSHA 30-hour certification.
• STS-C Certification and First Aid/CPR/Stop the Bleed.

Responsibilities

• Directs and coordinates trade contractors to meet project schedule.
• Leads site walks with owner, architect/engineer, and financiers.
• Manages project budget for general conditions and Site Services.
• Develops and communicates the work plan for field changes.
• Maintains safety programs and site safety compliance.
• Leads contractor meetings and daily reports.
