Job summary

Mortenson is seeking an experienced Senior Superintendent I to coordinate site work activities and supervise on-site teams across multiple projects. The role requires interaction with staff at all levels and a proactive, confidential approach to problem solving.

Key duties include managing construction activities, scheduling, budgeting, and safety program implementation. A strong background in large-scale or solar/industrial projects and a valid driver's license are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years of construction experience.
• Minimum 10 years' experience in a supervisory role.
• Experience with solar or overseeing large industrial power projects.
• Detail oriented to manage multiple project tasks.
• Ability to travel up to 100%.
• Current driver's license and Interpreting Mortenson policies.

Responsibilities

• Overall management of construction activities and task assignments.
• Interface with other departments to ensure materials, equipment and inspections support the schedule.
• Budget, forecast, and manage craft labor, equipment, materials, and tools.
• Review construction documents for completeness and constructability.
• Create and update project schedules and three-week look-ahead plans.
• Coordinate plans with engineers and resolve discrepancies.
• Coach, mentor and train field personnel and superintendents.
• Implement Mortenson's Zero Injury Safety Program at site.
• Maintain relationships with customers, architects, and subcontractors.
