Mortenson Construction in Phoenix seeks an experienced Senior Superintendent I to coordinate site work activities and supervise on-site teams across multiple projects. The role requires leadership across staff at all levels, proactive problem-solving, and strict safety adherence.

The successful candidate will engage with Project Managers to budget and forecast resources, review drawings for constructability, and drive schedules with three-week look-ahead planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate degree in Construction/Engineering or 10 years of trade experience.
• Minimum 15 years of construction experience.
• Minimum 10 years' supervisory experience.
• Experience with solar or large industrial power projects.
• Ability to travel up to 100%.
• Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Microsoft Office skills at an intermediate level.
• Current driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Oversee construction activities and assign tasks.
• Coordinate with departments to ensure materials and inspections align with schedule.
• Budget, forecast, and manage labor, equipment, and materials.
• Review documents for completeness and constructability.
• Develop and update project schedules and three-week look-ahead.
• Lead pre-construction planning sessions and site meetings.
• Coach and mentor field personnel and foremen.
• Ensure site safety under Mortenson's Zero Injury program.
• Manage site logistics and relationships with visitors and stakeholders.
