Job summary

Mortenson Construction is seeking a Senior Superintendent I to lead on-site activities across multiple projects. You will coordinate with engineers and project managers to ensure schedules, materials, and inspections align with project goals.

Strong leadership and communication are essential for mentoring crews and driving safety-focused execution. Ideal candidates bring 15+ years in construction with at least 10 years in supervision, plus experience with large-scale projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum degree in Construction, Civil, or Architectural Engineering or equivalent trade experience.
• 15+ years construction experience with 10+ years in supervisory roles.
• Experience with solar or large industrial power projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee construction activities and task assignments for multiple projects.
• Coordinate with departments to meet material, equipment, and inspection needs.
• Budget, forecast, and manage labor, equipment, and materials.
• Develop and update project schedules and three-week look-ahead.
• Lead pre-construction planning sessions and site meetings.
• Mentor field personnel and supervise crews.
• Ensure safety programs and site logistics are followed.
• Address formwork choices, scheduling, and site utilization.
• Handle open shop and union issues and maintain client relations.
