Job summary

Travelers is seeking an experienced Risk Control Senior Professional to provide expert risk assessments for large, complex accounts. You will collaborate with Underwriting, Claims, and Risk Control teams to manage a profitable, lower-risk book of business while delivering detailed, technically sound reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or graduate degree in environmental health and safety, engineering, construction management, basic sciences or related technical fields.
• Advanced knowledge of insurance industry and business acumen.
• Certifications such as ASP, CSP, ARM, CFPS are preferred.
• Technical aptitude and detail orientation.
• Superior written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain field presence with customers (20–50% onsite travel).
• Partner with Underwriting to select and grow a profitable book of business.
• Build relationships with Underwriting, Claim, Risk Control Specialists and Brokers as a unified team.
• Perform risk assessments for Construction industry accounts with high complexity.
• Write detailed risk assessment reports with clear recommendations.
• Identify and address customer loss exposures and mitigation actions.
• Stay current with technical subjects and regulatory developments.
