Job summary

SPC Co. in New Jersey is seeking an experienced Health and Safety Manager to oversee occupational health and safety programs across project sites.

You will analyze trends, ensure regulatory compliance, conduct safety orientations, and review procedures to safeguard workers on site. You will lead the safety program, perform incident trend analysis, coordinate training and toolbox talks, manage permits and certifications, and provide technical support to the construction teams to promote a safe,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Health & Safety or related field.
• 8+ years’ experience in construction or safety.
• Experience managing construction or safety teams.
• Ability to train and mentor safety professionals.
• Identify onsite safety risks and mitigation strategies.
• Knowledge of construction site equipment and methods.

Responsibilities

• Oversees safety program and procedures for project sites within the district.
• Performs trend analysis and tracks incidents, injuries and property damage.
• Develops and conducts safety orientations, trainings and toolbox talks.
• Ensures project permits and certifications are active and documented.
• Provides technical support for training, equipment, and inspections.
• Oversees equipment maintenance and safety items for onsite crews.
• Provides project status and trend analyses to management.
• Manages injury reporting and corrective action plans.
• Reviews DHA and JHA documentation for the project plan.
• Creates and approves worksite safety and evacuation plans; supports emergency planning.
