Job summary

Fessler & Bowman, Inc. is seeking a Safety Manager 1 to lead safety initiatives across large-scale commercial projects in the Amarillo region. You will report to the Safety Director, guide project teams on health and safety requirements, and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal guidelines.

This role involves travel to job sites as needed and a focus on building an evolving safety culture. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in safety-related field (preferred), 6–8 years of relevant

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• 6-8 years of large-scale commercial/industrial project management experience, including at least 4 years at management level safety professional
• Experience developing Job Hazard Analysis and Pre-Task Plans for construction sites
• Current certifications in First Aid, CPR, OSHA, and 30-hour Construction Safety are a plus

Responsibilities

• Conduct safety meetings, audits, and inspections to ensure compliance and identify corrective actions
• Plan and manage comprehensive environmental safety and health programs on project sites
• Ensure work complies with manuals, policies, procedures, contracts, and good engineering practices
• Develop Emergency Action Plan and serve as primary contact for site injury notification and case management
• Plan and conduct safety and compliance training programs

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Health, Engineering, or related field

OSHA 510 - OSHA Standards for the Construction Industry

OSHA 500 - OSHA Standards for the Construction Industry

First Aid/CPR/OSHA certifications (30-hour Construction Safety)
