Job summary

Frontline Wildfire Defense is seeking a builder-minded Director of Construction Safety to lead safety across residential and commercial operations. You will set strategy, build a scalable multi-state program, and guide a team in implementing safety in the field.

The role reports to the COO and collaborates with in-house counsel, operations, project management, field leadership, and finance to embed safety as a core operating pillar as we scale nationally.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in construction safety with 5+ years in leadership.
• Proven ability to build safety programs at multi-location companies.
• Experience leading safety professionals and subcontractor safety management.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1926 and Cal/OSHA requirements.
• Must be able to travel frequently and work across multiple states.

Responsibilities

• Set vision and multi-year roadmap for construction safety across regions.
• Lead safety team, hire plan, and budget for safety programs.
• Own safety budget, training, PPE, and safety tech.
• Report safety performance and risk trends to COO and executives.
• Maintain stop-work authority and promote a culture of safe work.
